Primary Complementary Dressings
Uses
- To preserve skin integrity before or after a stage 1 pressure injury has occurred
- Allows for a slim line dressing to put on a heel
Positives
- Conformable to heels
- A great all in one dressing used for skin tears (with jelonet)

Limitations
- Doesn’t absorb a large amount of exudate
- Does not hold up to repeated exposure to external water
Precautions
The edges can roll up when the patient moves their heel in bed
