Step 1

Setup sterile field

Prepare a sterile field and arrange all sterile products using aseptic technique.

Clean the wound

leanse the wound bed, removing devitalised tissue to promote healthy tissue formation.

Cover with inadine

Apply a double layer of Inadine over the area of breakdown.

Cover with Mepilex

Place Mepilex Border as the secondary dressing.

Step 5

Lather with moisturiser

Ensure Mepilex Border is applied before applying white soft paraffin, as emollient use beforehand may prevent adequate adhesion.
