Uses
- Scant to low exudating wounds
- Highly sensitive to latex
- Bulking of dressing to minimise sheering or blunt force trauma to an area

- Can cause less reactions than zetuvit
Limitations
- Does not ‘contain’ the exudate but just absorbs and can be released under pressure or when it is overloaded
Precautions
- Do not cut as the lining can come away from the inner cotton core leaving cotton strands in the wound bed if the exudate dried out.
