Positives
- Allows you to use your hand in a sterile field
Limitations
- Once you have the gloves on you can not interact outside of your sterile environment. This may mean you will need a secondary person to aid you in your dressing to lift the person’s leg momentarily/open more packets of dressing etc.
Precautions
- Check for latex allergies
- Only specialised sterile gloves are thick enough to be used with patient’s who are taking cytotoxic medications
